Beyond inspired right now- In my art History of Design class we’re learning about William Morris. I am in LOVE with his wallpapers and textiles- so beautiful! I definitely couldn’t do a whole wall with one of these- but inserts of these in small areas such as hutches would be beautiful! Too bad they’re not actual paper- but printed with blocks. So beautiful!
Today, our 3rd week of the semester, 4th day of class, this was due in my CAD class. (Never have I ever used this program before-mind you.) After I taught myself the program and stayed up long nights on the weekend, I finally figured it out. Once we turned it in, our professor THEN began a lecture on the different drawing tools we can use and how to use them. Isn’t it supposed to be the other way around? Shouldn’t she have showed us the tools (and shortcuts) and THEN we do our assignment? I probably could have saved about 8 hrs that way. It’s going to be a long semester…
(Bits and Pieces) of my Home away from Home
It’s been awhile since I’ve been able to post, but let me tell you why. I recently transferred to my new school, which has been harder than I have expected! (It’s been quite the adjustment!) Starting today, 2 weeks into the move, I’m finally feeling good about it all! There’s a reason God put me here, so I might as well make the best of it! It took me awhile, and I am more than positive I’ll still have some hard days, but I’ve learned not to give up. So here I go with a few more posts about my life- a small town blogger with big ambitions and dreams. Wish me luck!

I FINALLY got to use my sewing machine thanks to my mothers wonderful teaching skills (and patience) I finished another project! My pencil/charcoal holder will do wonders when I go back to school! I love it :)
My most recent project - brooch bouquet.. my mom made a bigger version of these for my sisters wedding a few years ago! I loved it! We have TONS of leftover brooches so I thought I’d give it a try!
My sister recently moved into a new house, a quite large house, and has little to no decorations up. Thankfully though, my mother and I have some ideas for her. This is our first project. Sorry the pictures aren’t the best quality, I don’t have much to work with. These are based off of the shower curtain in her boys bathroom. (The shower curtain is behind the images.) We duplicated our 3 favorite trees, and the owl is in a larger frame for the toilet room section (it has a sliding door.) I’m going to bring them to her place tomorrow, and hopefully put them up! Hope she likes them. Maybe I’ll get some pics of the finished project!
